''D.d. digitatus'' is groter (10 tot 20&nbsp;cm hoog) en kom naby [[Vanrhynsdorp]] en [[Vredendal]] voor. ''D.d. littlewoodii'' is kleiner (<10 cm) en kom noord van Vanrhynsdorp voor. Dit word ook nie groter wanneer daar goeie reëns gewees het nie.
Die plante het twee silindervormige, ongelyke blare wat lyk as 'n vinger en 'n duim. Die blare is met [[blaassel]]le bedek wat ongeveer 1&nbsp;mm hoog en diggepak is. Die wortel is 'n bietjie verdik. Die blomme word 10 – 20&nbsp;mm in deursnee en die blomblaartjies is wit tot room. Die blommetjies bly dag en nag oop.
