== Geographie ==
Das County liegt etwa 100&nbsp;km östlich des geographischen Zentrums von Texas und hat eine Fläche von 2646 Quadratkilometern, wovon 13 Quadratkilometer Wasserfläche sind. Es grenzt im Uhrzeigersinn an folgende Countys: [[Falls County]], [[Robertson County (Texas)|Robertson County]], [[Burleson County]], [[Lee County (Texas)|Lee County]], [[Williamson County (Texas)|Williamson County]] und [[Bell County (Texas)|Bell County]].

== Geschichte ==
Milam County wurde 1836 als Original-County gebildet. Benannt wurde es nach [[Benjamin Rush Milam]], Gründer einer Kolonie in Texas und Soldat zu Beginn der [[Texas Revolution|texanischen Revolution]].
