Das County liegt im Südosten von Texas, grenzt an den [[Golf von Mexiko]] und hat eine Fläche von 1831 km², wovon 40 km² Wasserfläche ist. Das County grenzt im Uhrzeigersinn an die Countys: [[Bee County]], [[Refugio County]], [[Aransas County]], [[Nueces County]], [[Jim Wells County]] und [[Live Oak County]].

== Geschichte ==
San Patricio County wurde [[1846]] aus Teilen des Refugio County gebildet. Benannt wurde es nach dem mexikanischen Ort [[San Patricio]].
