Das County liegt nahe dem geographischen Zentrum von Texas und hat eine Fläche von 2780 Quadratkilometern, wovon 10 Quadratkilometer Wasserfläche sind. == Geschichte ==
McCulloch County wurde [[1856]] aus Teilen des [[Bexar County]] gebildet. Benannt wurde es nach [[Benjamin McCulloch]], einem [[Texas Ranger]] und späterem General der [[Konföderierte Staaten von Amerika|Konföderierten Armee]].
