== Geographie ==
Das County liegt nahe dem geographischen Zentrum von Texas und hat eine Fläche von 2780 Quadratkilometern, wovon 10 Quadratkilometer Wasserfläche sind. Es grenzt im Uhrzeigersinn an folgende Countys: [[Coleman County]], [[Brown County (Texas)|Brown County]], [[San Saba County]], [[Mason County (Texas)|Mason County]], [[Menard County (Texas)|Menard County]] und [[Concho County]].

== Geschichte ==
McCulloch County wurde [[1856]] aus Teilen des [[Bexar County]] gebildet. Benannt wurde es nach [[Benjamin McCulloch]], einem [[Texas Rangers (Polizei)|Texas Ranger]] und späterem General der [[Konföderierte Staaten von Amerika|Konföderierten Armee]].
