তিনি  "এইট সেকশন" (1974)," স্ট্রিভিং" (1980), লৌরিং স্কাইস (1985) এবং উপহার (২00২) থেকে তাঁর সর্বশেষ দুটি বই "থিয়েটার রয়্যাল" (২004) এবং "গ্রীন, রেড, গোল্ড," একটি উপন্যাস থেকে ৯ টি সংস্করণ প্রকাশ করেছেন ১০১টি সনেটে (2005) যা "দ্য ডেইলি টেলিগ্রাফে" এএন উইলসন দ্বারা কৌতুক বলে বিবেচিত হয়। তিনি রবীন্দ্রনাথের রচিত কবিতা ও মীরা রানী দেবী রচিত সওরিং হাই এর অনুবাদ করে খ্যাতি অর্জন করেছিলেন।

প্রধান হিন্দু পুরাণের সাথে তিনি মুসলিম, বৌদ্ধ, জৈন, সিরিয়ার খ্রিস্টান ও উপজাতীয় উৎস থেকে কিংবদন্তি ও লোককাহিনী অন্তর্ভুক্ত করেছেন।

তার মা বেটি রাদিচে ছিলো একজন সম্পাদক এবং অনুবাদক।
