===Introduction===
Campus Party is the event which Wikimedia Brasil as a movement has longest continuous participation, completing half a decade in the 2013 São Paulo's edition (totalizing six editions). Wikimedia Brasil achived maturity at this event attending, and can point accurately what works well for us and what is possible to work, what doesn't work and what couldn't work in the event. With this knowledge in hands, we defined working lines and activities appropriated to the Campus Party event, which have potential to give the expected results.
In this year are going to change fundamentally the ''modus operandi'' at Campus Party Brasil. This change was based in our experience in the event, replacing what not went well. We are going to use a fewer number of volunteers, full-time and hard dedicated to the event, with precise pre-defined working lines and a most incisive participation; instead of a many volunteers with intermediary dedication, on-time decided activities, ausence of working lines and "amorphus" participation modus (which was the main modus operandi since then).
With that maturity at the event and the new modus operandi, we hope to explore the potential of the event highly this year, once the results of the previous years didn't achived expectations. This year, all the experience of previous years will be used in a brand new approach to a sucessful attending.
=== Working lines ===
It was predefined five working lines for the Campus Party 2013. All the activities of WMBR at Campus Party must be embedded in this working lines. This working lines were defined to a localized expected sucessful result, based in a strategy which consists of new volunteers captation and an exploration in the partnerships area, crucial points for the development of Wikimedia movement at Brazil. Follows:
==== Massive diffusion of wikimedia ideals ====
It was noticed that the volunteers of Wikimedia Brasil movement do not follow a specific pattern. For example, we can't easily say if it's a movement more attractive for the public of sciencies or humanities, because it has participation of both areas pro rata. We can't say really say if it's a young based or adult based movement, once we have a big interval from 20- volunteers to 50+. We have volunteers of all age groups, pro rata.
The point is: there is no obvious patterns in our movement, but one. Only one feature is obviously present in all volunteers, and is quoted as the main reason to engagement to each one of our active volunteers. This feature is the empathy with the wikimedia ideals.
Thus, a diffusion of wikimedia ideals becomes the most effective way to attracts a new wave of volunteers. Once the wikimedia ideals are widespread, the potential volunteers (target) would thrill and would know where and how to help within the movement. Consequently, it would become a new active volunteer in the movement.
In previous events we experimented "upsidedown" activities. A clear exemple is the workshop of wikipedia editing, a recurring action by Wikimedia Brasil. We noted that the guys learn how to edit, but they do not keep doing this. It was because they didn't know a "motivation", a "reason why" to keep editing. In this edition, we are having a "top-down" approach. First spread the ideals behind all that, and join the potential volunteers (who share the ideals).After (now with a motivation impulsing) learn the details about wikimedia movement and the wikimedia projects (including, of course, Wikipedia). However, the "upsidedown" way wasn't totally discarded, but will act at the same time, as we can see in 2.2.4.
;Activities
*The main idea of diffusion is with leaflefts. The leafleft will show the main ideals of Wikimedia, in a succint, concise and impactful way. It will contain also our contact (our mailing list, our wiki and our localization at the event - we are going to get a stand). Instead of distribute freely it, we are going to glue the leaflefts in all the tier of benchs (the big tables where the participants stay the most part of the time), so instead of dirty the event with a lot of leaflefts at the floor, they will be fixed. And this fixation will make the attendees again and again look the leafleft (instead of the fast classic looking when we put in hands). In this way, we will be sure the entire event will know our ideals, and the massive diffusion gets done.
*We are planning a talk with probably interested people who shows out. In this talk, we are going to do a most theoretical approach, showing the ideals of wikimedia movement, the reasons to support free knowledge, free culture and creative commons licenses. In this theoretical approach, we are going to engage the volunteers who agree with all that exposed.
==== Basic/primary captation of volunteers ====
This working line is simple and pragmatic, and fits as a second part for the section above. It's about the potential volunteers found in the Campus Party 2013.
Campus Party is a event with a lot of attractions, lectures, shows etc throughout all days. It's so much thing to see and to do and we can't request time for potential volunteers to a whole wiki "catehcism". We have just to make our work widespreading the ideals and just do a primary/basic captation of the potential interested. This captation boils down to the act of adding the potential volunteer to the mailing list.
Adding the volunteer to the mailing list, he will stay observing the discussions and becoming accostumed to the environment, knowing flaty the recent topics and projects, etc. So this volunteer will be invited in the near future to a WikiBrasil, the national conference of Wikimedia Brasil, a place where he really will understand about the movement, the active projects, and totally engage.
So the expectatives are use Campus Party as a first phasis of engaging, reducing the effort of both sides and making the entire process more effective.

*Well, pretty obvious, add all the potential volunteers to the mailing list and it's done. We are going (as said in the subsection above) put the adress of mailing list in the leaflefts, and make the process more intuitive.

My work's scope falls on Education and Tech initiatives. I'll give a co-lecture with Dale Stephens (from [http://uncollege.org UnCollege]) on how Wikimedia moviment can be part of self-education programs. I plan be part of a workshop on Wiki edition, organized by Wikimedia community during the event. A huge lecture could be given by a core MediaWiki developer, talk to Sumana from WmF, I am open to help as necessary.

I would like to focus on debating the pros of, and bringing awareness to, Free Culture. Educate and elucidate people on what that is and why it is necessary.
