|description={{en|1=Information board on the Green Wheel near Glinton. This information board explains the link between the rural poet John Clare (1793-1864) and the village of Glinton. Born into a poor farming family in Helpston, a few miles to the west, he went to school in Glinton in 1803. Here he met Mary Joyce who alledgedly become the love of his life and they used to meet by the bridge in [[:File:Bridge at Glinton - geograph.org.uk - 443112.jpg|443112]]. They never married, John marrying Matha Turner in 1820 and having 9 children. Mary died a spinster in 1838 and is buried in the church in Glinton.

The iron bridge in the background carries the footpath and Green Wheel cycle route over the Brook Drain which meets the South Drain here.}}
