He was back on TV screens in December 2011, reprising his BAFTA-nominated role of Mick in ''[[This is England '88]]''.

In March 2012 "[[The Fades]]" in which Johnny starred as Neil Valentine, was nominated for a Royal Television Society Award for 'Best Drama Series'.


His current projects include playing QUERT, one of the dwarvesOn 1st June 2012 Johnny can be seen in ''[[Snow White and tThe Huntsman]]'' for [[Universal Pictures]]. due for cinema release on 01st June 2012 ...and ''[[Welcome to the Punch]]'' released in cinemas on 01st starring Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron, and Chris Hemsworth. He plays QUERT, one of the eight Dwarves, alongside Bob Hoskins, Ray Winstone, Ian McShane, Nick Frost, Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan, and Brian Gleeson. 

2012 also sees the release of ''[[Welcome to the Punch]]'' a new film by Eran Creevey and co-produced by Ridley Scott in which Johnny plays Dean Warns alongside James McAvoy, Mark Strong, Peter Mullen, and Andrea Riseborough. Its due to hit screens in September 2012.
