==Personal life==
Young has referred to himself as being deeply [[shyness|shy]] and socially introverted. However, he doesn't let that hold him back when it comes to being interviewed about his musical career and putting on concerts and world-wide tours for his albums. Young resides in his hometown, Owatonna, Minnesota, where he writes and programs all his music. Adam Young enjoys photography as a hobby and says he is an amateur photographer.
 He likes pizza, ice-cream sandwiches and walks on the beach.
