'''Clark Kerr''' ([[May 17]], [[1911]] – [[December 1]], [[2003]]) was the first [[Chancellor (education)|Chancellor]] of the [[University of California, Berkeley]] ([[1952]]–[[1958]]) and the 12th President of the [[University of California]] ([[1958]]–[[1967]]).

==Academic background==
