One of the fair's most popular exhibits was the Vatican Pavilion, where [[Michelangelo]]'s ''[[
Pietà (Michelangelo's Pietà)|Pietà]]'' was displayed, and a small plaza marking the spot (and [[Pope Paul VI]]'s visit in October 1965) remains there.  A copy was transported beforehand to ensure that the statue could be conveyed without being damaged. This copy is on view at [[St. Joseph's Seminary, Dunwoodie]], in [[Yonkers]].
