In January 2013 Jolla has achieved 5th position in Startup100.net ranking, a monthly chart of the hottest startups in Finland, based on online visibility and mentions

In January 2013 [[Zopo Mobile]], a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has announced it will sell a Sailfish mobile which will be delivered for India market.

==Terminology==
The company's name means ''[[dinghy]]'' (a small agile boat) in [[Finnish language|Finnish]].
