== History ==
The first number was issued on 5 May 1949 and the magazine continued its publication until 1979. ''Taj Varzeshi'' was first published by [[Esteghlal F.C.]] known as ''Docharkhesavaran'' ({{lang-fa|دوچرخه‌سواران}}) at the time   and thus the first issues, until February 1950, were named ''Docharkhesavaran''. Magazine's name was changed to ''Taj Varzeshi'' in february 1950 after the club changed its name from Docharkhesavaran to Taj.
