Ninetales has made its cameo appearance in ''[[Pokkén Tournament]]'' and ''Pokkén Tournament DX'' as an NPC support Pokémon.

Vulpix and Ninetales have unique Alolan Forms in [[Pokémon Sun and Moon|''Pokémon Sun'' and ''Moon'']]. In their Alolan Forms, Vulpix becomes an Ice-type Pokémon, while Ninetales becomes an Ice/Fairy-type Pokémon.
 Their appearance is a white and light blue colour scheme. To evolve an Alolan Vulpix, you need to expose it to an Ice stone.
