The Dwemer, aslo known as dwarves, although they were not short in stature. They all disappeared simultaneously during the Battle of Red Mountain, when Lord Nerevar aled the Dunmer in an attack against the dwemer to keep them from using Kagrenac's Tools. It is believed that the Dwemer could not control the Tools, and they were sent to another dimension, or simply destroyed.⏎

The name Tamriel is said to mean 'Starry Heart', however, according to [[Arena (computer game)|Arena]], it really is Elvish for 'Dawn's Beauty'.

Tamrielic history is divided into three distinct eras, the First Era, the Second Era, and the Third Era:

To the distant south of Tamriel supposedly lies the Elven homeland of Old Ehlnofey, which was devastated in ancient times (hence the early migration of Elves to other continents, namely Tamriel).
