==Editorial Motivation==

I just finished my [[Ph.D.]] [[thesis]] in [[bioinformatics]] at [[Boston University]] and I just really needed a release sometimes from the writing process.  Oddly, I found the best thing to take my mind off of my thesis was fixing vandalism and improving encyclopedia articles here at Wikipedia.  Crazy, huh?  Well, with [http://www.solmap-pharma.com|my new job], I don't get the same amount of free time that I used to use here.  So, my editing has been reduced but not forgotten.

==New Page Patrolling==

This is an interesting diversion to my normal anti-vandalism habits.  The odd part is that once the article is deleted, my efforts disappear along with the junk article.  It seems to be human nature to want to see a legacy of your good work and yet it's just as satisfying to see an absence of junk as the equivalent legacy.
