'''AGNULA''' stands for 'A [[GNU]]/[[Linux]] distribution for Audio'.  Originally funded by the [[European Commission]], theis now defunct project aimed to create two [[GNU/Linux]] distributions for use in music and audio production: [[ReHMuDi]] (the [[Red Hat|REd Hat]] MUltimedia DIstribution) and [[DeMuDi]] (the [[Debian|DEbian]] MUltimedia DIstribution). 

SinceWhen funding for the project ceased, volunteers have continued to develop the DeMuDi branch, while the ReHMuDi branch has been all but abandonedbut this has since been absorbed into the [[Debian Multimedia Project]] (the ReHMuDi branch of the project has been abandoned entirely).  ⏎
