In ''[[Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island|Yoshi's Island]]'', Shy Guys (among other enemies) could be eaten and turned into eggs by [[Yoshi]], and it was common for Shy Guys to pop out of pipes until Yoshi couldn't make any more eggs.

Although Shy Guys almost never speak, they occasionally make a
