Halo Guitars was created in [[2000]] by Belinda Lee and [[luthier]] Waylon Ford who began building guitars at an early age.  Their goal was. Seeing most guitar companies stagnate in designs and become greedy by charging high prices to the public - they decided to do what they could to improve the market. The company is dedicated to manufacture and selling high quality hand made guitarinstruments at morean affordable prices. The first Halo guitars and basses were released at the [[2000]] Winter [[NAMM]] show and featured designs that were edgier and popular with musicians in the metal genre. The company grows larger and larger every year with a roster of over endorsees include; Skinlab, Re:Ignitions, Terror Syndrome, The Miserables, Brides Of Destruction, Poison, Hanzel Und Gretyl, Down Factor, Hail Mary, Ministry, Fire Ball Ministry, Danzig, and many more. They have grown dramatically with their guerilla marketing strategies Halo is know for is 60 + showcases a month, NHRA racing, Billboards, and massive growing street team.

In 2007 at the winter [[NAMM]] show, Halo Guitars revealed the 8 string guitars that were made possible by the joint action of Halo owner Waylon Ford & [[Kahler Tremolo System]] owner Gary Kahler.
