'''Mehmet Erte''' is a contemporary [[Turkish people| Turkish]] [[poet]] and [[writer]]. (born  1978- ). A graduate of [[Physics]], his first poem titled "Yıldırımları Beklemek" was published in [[Varlık]] magazine in 1999. Erte’s works of poetry, articles, translations and interviews  were published in magazines like [[Varlık]], [[Kitap-lık]], [[E]], [[Yasakmeyve]] and [[Akşam-lık]]. In 2003 Erte got the [[Yaşar Nabi Nayır Poetry Awards]], and published his first book of [[poetry]] titled "[[Suyu Bulandıran Şey]]". “[[Bakisin Kirlettigi Ayna]]” is his first short story book (YKY, May 2008).
