Fargoth is a wood elf, or Bosmer, who lives in the small village of Seyda Neen. His best friend is Arrille, a high elf, who runs a tradehouse in Seyda Neen. He is very clever, but too proud for his own good. The guards of that village often mock him and beat him up for his valuables. Instead of reporting how corrupt the guards are, Fargoth hides his valuables in his secret hiding place, a hollow tree trunk in a small, marshy pond. At night, when anywhere is near the secret trunk, he can be exceedingly paranoid. (contracted; show full) It has also been suggested that a reason for why Fargoth is not very liked, aside from his voice, is the way in which he introduces himself to the player. One of his many possible greetings, which appear at random, regardless of the player character's gender, is: "I have a feeling you and I are about to become very close." Perhaps not something everybody enjoys hearing.
