'''The Ultimen''' are a fictional [[superhero]] group featured in the [[Animated cartoon|animated]] [[Television program| series]] ''[[Justice League Unlimited]]''. The Ultimen themselves are a [[pastiche]] of several superheroes from the ''Super Friends'', who were added during the season titled ''[[Challenge of the Super Friends]]'' in order to add ethnic diversity to the lineup (and as such, are sometimes referred to by fans as the "[[Affirmative Action]]" heroes), as well as the [[Wonder Twins]]. These characters(contracted; show full)* When Long Shadow receives a phone call in the episode, the ringtone is the Super Friends' theme can be heard.

*It is possible their team name is based on Superman pastiche [[Ultiman]].
