Lieutenant Colonel '''Ajith Jayakody''' is a former [[Sri Lanka]]n record holder for [[discus throw]]. He held the national record for more than 10 years.
He served as a [[Lieutenant Colonel]] in the Sri Lankan army and continues to play a major role in bringing up young talent within the country. He retired from Sri Lanka Army in 2007 and living in [[Canada]] now.

He attended [[De Mazenod college]]  and St Anthony's college, [[Wattala]]. He still holds school records in under-19 category.
