== Childhood ==

Kenneth was Born to a culturally Jewish family (thoughat was only semi-observant in Jewish practice). . His upbringing continued in Brooklyn during which he attended a traditional Jewish elementary school, (or ''Yeshiva)'', for the first eight grades of his education.   



After his completion of the Yeshiva training, much to his relief, Kennethe was permitted to attend public schools.  Also at this time he became an avowedBy this point, Kenneth considered himself an agnostic, sensing numerous points of personal incompatibility between his own temperament and the overall temperament of the Jewish religion of his heritage.   



While in public schools, Kennethe discovered his first professional love, his love ofinterest: psychology, and especially the works of [[Sigmund Freud|Freudian]] [[psychology]].  After his high school graduation, his enjoyment of Freud and of psychology later propelled him to complete a doctoral study program in psychology.  

Soon after becoming an avowed agnostic, he developed a deep appreciation for classical music, particularly of [[Ludwig van Beethoven|Beethoven]] and [[Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart|Mozart]].  As his appreciation for the compositions of these classical masters grew, he began to also discover that both of these classical masters were known to have strong spiritual leanings, which they were known to express in many of their musical compositions.
