'''highlights:''' It was during this Year that the "Dave" comic strip first appeared. Dave was created by Jim and Pete Catapano. The strip was drawn by Jim Catapano with inking by Marie Beemish and Tom LaSusa. Ye Olde Spectator was a combination Presidential Election/Christopher Columbus  issue with a full painted cover by Sandy Yoo depicting the candidates sailing on Columbus' ships. The Sci-Fi Special was a Sci-Fi Special.
