Originally funded by the [[European  _Commission]] and now continues as a partially voluntary based project. It is completely based on [[free software]]. One distribution is based |European Commission]], the project aimed to create two [[Linux]] distributions for use in music and audio production: [[Debian]], AGNULA/[[DeMuDi]] (stand for DebianReHMuDi]] (the [[Red Hat|REd Hat]] MUltimedia DIstribution) and [[DeMuDi]] (the [[Debian|DEbian]] MuUltimedia DiIstribution), and another on [[Red Hat]], AGNULA/[[ReHMuDi]] (for Red Hat Multimedia Distribution). Since funding for the project ceased, volunteers have continued to develop the DeMuDi branch, while the ReHMuDi branch has been all but abandoned.
