DePuy Spine is a joint venture with Biedermann Motech GMBH.  Originally called DePuy Motech and located in [[Warsaw, IN]], the company was re-named DePuy Acromed in 1998 with the purchase of Acromed Corporation.  The new company re-located to Acromed's corporate headquarters in [[Cleveland, OH]] until 1999 when it moved to its current location in Rayham, MA after [[Johnson & Johnson]] bought [[DePuy]], Inc.  In 2003 the company purchased Orquest, who's flagship product Healos is DePuy Spine's top selling Osteobiologic product.  In May of 2003 the company purchased the Link Spine Group, creators of the Charite Artificial Disc.  In October 2004 the Charite Artificial Disc became the first total disc replacement to obtain [[FDA]] approval in the United States.
