Difference between revisions 22143201 and 36959776 on enwikiThe Cyprus Mathematical Olympiad (Greek : Κυπριακή Μαθηματική Ολυμπιάδα; CMO) is a Cyprus mathematics competition for students in every grade, organized by the Cyprus Mathematical Society. There is one paper for every grade in primary school (Dhitmotiko): 4th, 5th and 6th. There is an other paper for junior high-school (Gymnasium) and an other for high-school(Lyceum). ==Procedure== Students must answer 30 multiple choice mathematics problems. Each correct answer gives you 4 points, in each wrong answer you lose 1 and no answer means no points (you don't lose anything). This means there is a penalty. Each paper is rewarded separately. The result for every paper are not announced but only the top 6/100 which will be awarded in the ratio 1:2:3 for gold, silver and bronze metal respectively. That means: *Gold medals will be awarded to the top 1/100 of the contestants. *Silver medals will be awarded to the next 2/100. *Bronze medals will be awarded to the next 3/100. ==See also== *Cyprus *List of mathematics competitions *Cyta, the main sponsor of the CMO ==External links== *Cyprus Mathematical Society math-stub ⏎ cyprus-stub All content in the above text box is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license Version 4 and was originally sourced from https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=prev&oldid=36959776.
