This is the largest of the men's hostels in the [[University of Delhi]] located at a stones throw from the Vishwavidyalaya metro station of [[Delhi Metro]]. It has 200 rooms and is one of the two hostels in [[University of Delhi]] offering single room accommodation to its residents. This Hhostel's name derives from it's opening in [[1947]], the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the [[University of Delhi]].  It is famous for the huge number of its alumni in the bureaucratic circle of the country.
