Pseudo-intellectual is a pejorative term used to describe someone who engages in false intellectualism or is intellectually dishonest or unsound.  The term is often, though not always, used to describe one who regularly critiques the work of professionals, while lacking the requisite background and knowledge to have an informed opinion. It is also used to describe individuals who depend on false information and uninformed methods to come to conclusions of topics.
