Fargoth is a wood elf (also known as a Bosmer) who lives in the small village of Seyda Neen. His best friend is Arrille, a high elf, who runs a tradehouse in Seyda Neen. Fargoth is clever, but too proud for his own good. The guards of that village often mock him and beat him up for his valuables. (contracted; show full) Furthermore, to make extra gold and to foil both Fargoth and Hrisskar, the player can choose to run away with the ring, gold, and lock picks that are found in the hiding place, rather than give them to the guard for a reduced reward. ==Walkthrough== To discover Fargoth's hiding place, it is suggested that you watch him from the top of the lighthouse. Once atop the lighthouse, wait until 9 p.m. and then look for Fargoth (he'll be holding a torch by this time making him much easier to spot). Soon he will begin sneaking around town, and get very near the lighthouse, yet he will not see the player. Watch closely, because as soon as he gets near the lighthouse, he will reverse direction and walk toward a tree a short distance away. Once he reaches the tree, he will walk into a little pond (causing his torch to go out) and stop near a tree stump. Once he walks away, you can either go back down the stairs, or leap to a stone not far below the lighthouse ledge, and make your way to the stump. Once there, activate it like a container (by hitting the space bar), and get everything inside. Now you have a choice, you can go back to Hrisskar and give him the gold, which will only earn you 100 gold, or you can keep it and not speak to the guard, which will earn you 300 gold. Either way, Fargoth will never find out that you stole his stuff. WARNING: if you choose to keep the gold, you must make sure never to talk to the guard again, because if you do, he will take 200 gold from you as if you were finishing the quest.
