[[WP:UAA]] is a noticeboard to report usernames which ''blatantly violate the username policy'' and ''need to be immediately blocked''. All usernames which are not blatant violations do ''not'' need to be immediately blocked and should be taken to RFCN or resolved in the more civilised form of [[wiktionary:discussion|discussion]], if it really hurts your head. A good test to see whether a username is a blatant violation or not is to ask yourself, "can I [[WP:AGF|assume good faith]] and give this user the benefit of the doubt?" Only if the answer is "no", it is a blatant violation. Also, when it comes to judging whether a username is offensive, use some perspective. Some language is obviously not acceptable, other words and phrases are questionable enough to maybe wait for edits and discuss, and then plenty of st(contracted; show full)

Finally, just a reminder that we have bots who scour the new user log, and report names matching certain strings to UAA, which are always going to be quicker than human reporters. If you're finding more subtle blatantly inappropriate names then great, but if you're going to be as over-zealous as the bots are with false positives, it's probably best you [[:Category:Cleanup|do]] [[:Special:Recentchanges|something]] [[:Wikipedia:Requested articles|else]].
