The club now known as the Splash began play as the [[Charleston]] Splash in the [[2008–09 WBCBL season|2008–09 season]]. The next season, they will keep the name the Charleston Splash. In their first year in Charleston, the Splash finished 4th in a 8&ndash; team South Division.
