TinyMe uses the [[Openbox]] window manager which is known to be smaller and faster than [[KDE]] which is used in [[PCLinuxOS]].

The distribution produces two Live CD ISO images. The larger, codenamed "Acorn", is a 200 MB ISO image. The other, "Droplet", is a 150 MB ISO image. Both can be installed onto a hard drive or a [[USB flash drive]]. TinyMe is comparable to other [[Mini Linux]] distributions such as: [[Puppy Linux]], [[AntiX]], or [[Damn Small Linux]].

On
[[16 January]] [[ 2009]], TinyMe was ranked #25 at [[DistroWatch]].

On [[11 March]] [[ 2009]], TinyMe's developer announced a split from [[PCLinuxOS]].
