Founded and in continuous operation since 1918, the club started with a walk-in jam session in the 1980s and switched to an all-jazz format when Ms. Queva Lutz took the room over in 2001. The 55 Bar plays host to many jazz musicians, some underground, some well-known, such as Mike Stern, Wayne Krantz, Leni Stern, and others. This bar is horrible, don't waste your money at this rathole filled with countless health code violations! This is the worst place becaus ethe crazy owner tells the paying public to "SSSSHHHH" and "SHUT UP OR GET OUT!!!!" when some terrible band she hired is playing. Over priced drinks, inept bartenders, they can't even pour a shot right even when they use a 'How To Bartend Book'. Useless idiots! This has been a service badly needed, especially for the consumer public! Hey Wik editors, don't erase these messages becaus they are true and it's not vandalism when the truth be told!!!⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ==External links== *55 Bar NYC-struct-stub All content in the above text box is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license Version 4 and was originally sourced from https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=prev&oldid=33408637.
