==Origins==

One World Week started as a small-scale project at the [[University of Warwick]] in 1995. The project's beginnings were inspired by the critical pedagogy of theorist, [[Paulo Freire]]. The initial success of the event lead to a rapid expansion in subsequent years to what is now regarded as the '''World’s Largest Student-run International Event'''<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.bbc.co.uk/coventry/content/articles/2006/01/16/one_world_week_(contracted; show full)==External links==
