The owner tells the payFounded and ing customers to shut up when the music is playing. 
The drinks are over priced and the service is terrible.
This place is horrible but only the ideal spot to send your mother in law to!ontinuous operation since 1918, the club started with a walk-in jam session in the 1980s and switched to an all-jazz format when Ms. Queva Lutz took the room over in 2001.  The 55 Bar plays host to many [[jazz]] musicians, some underground, some well-known, such as [[Mike Stern]], [[Wayne Krantz]], [[Leni Stern]], and others.
