'''Mehmet Erte''' is a contemporary Turkish poet. ([[Izmir]], [[1978]]- ) A graduate of Physics, his first poem titled "Y&#305;ld&#305;r&#305;mlar&#305; Beklemek" was published in [[Varl&#305;k]] magazine in 1999. Erte’s works of poetry, articles, translations and interviews  were published in magazines like [[Varl&#305;k]], [[Kitap-l&#305;k]], [[E]], [[Yasakmeyve]] and [[Ak&#351;am-l&#305;k]]. In 2003 Erte got the [[Ya&#351;ar Nabi Nay&#305;r Poetry Awards]], and published his first book of poetry titled "[[Suyu Buland&#305;ran &#350;ey]]".
