I am a high school sophomore planning to graduate in the summer of 2008. I am mostlyhave a profound interested in [[political science]], and am attracted by the [[social sciences]] in general, but unfortunately lack any significant knowledge pertaining to these subjects.

I was born in [[South Korea]] but have been living in [[Jakarta|Jakarta, Indonesia]] <small>([[Greenwich Mean Time|GMT]] +07:00)</small> since 1995.

I am often told that I am strange, and a few teachers have commented on my bizarre way of thinking and reaching conclusions. And contrary to my unimpressive report cards, I have a habit of asking 'larger', sometimes unanswerable questions.

== My Beliefs and Way of Life ==
Often feeling restricted by cultural boundaries, I have sought to break out of the barriers set by my upbringing and influence those around me in ways that I deem positive. A couple of years ago, I arrived at the rather difficult conclusion that I was in fact an atheist; this was met by my religious family with denial and continues to this day.

My (left-leaning) political views make up an enormous portion of who and what I consider myself to be. Living the bulk of my life as a foreigner in a country entirely different to my own has allowed me to approach controversial issues with vigor while maintaining some level of respect for those of different backgrounds and ambitions. I strive to promote justice for all. In today's society, what is imperative is not always addressed first, and this is one of the major things I wish to change. Defending what in my eyes is right, hence stimulating change, is my lifelong mission and I am fully intent on fulfilling this goal.

I aspire to enter the international political scene one day and help steer society in a direction that fights for heavy educational reforms, the right to privacy, and freedom of speech.
