Introductions
Dtasripin is short for Daniel Tasripin.

At present, residing in New York City, in the neighborhood of Bedford Park in the borough of The Bronx. I'm of mixed race: white-ethnic Americans (Jewish and French) on the mother's side and half Asian (Indonesian) on the other.

I am
currently an undergraduate student at Hunter College of the City University of New York. WorkI am finishing onup a degree in Political Science, with a minor in Urban Studies. AI'm an employee a union that shall go unnamed (you can ask me privately) and I'm also, an occasional volunteer for the Indypendent (the newspaper put out by NYC Indymedia).

On Wikipedia, I mostly take an interest in editing articles related to 20th Century Indonesia and contemporary New York City, New York. You could say that on Wikipedia, I edit both locally and globally.

My Wikipedia-related interests
Non-Wikipedia schtuff
My online time not spent pouring over research for Wikipedia entries is mostly spent either launching polemics or just cracking wise over on Plastic.com. User name is Clandestino. My karma's currently around the 1050 mark.

Offline, I'm mostly reading the novels of Pramoedya Ananta Toer and Naguib Mahfouz, or stuff on urban planning and politics.

A listing of books I've found interesting, and think are worth reading (or re-reading). Individual books are listed with their ISBN; clock it and you can look it up on your university or public library's index, or can look it up at your online bookstore of choice.

DISCLAIMER: Listing here does not mean I necessarily endorse all the views of either the book's author or its text. It just means I find the book interesting.
