The Ilkorins are a group of Elves from J. R. R. Tolkien's fictional universe. They first appear in The Book of Lost Tales. It was then a name with a broad meaning for all the Elves who "never saw the light of Kôr" and also for their many tongues. Kôr was the Quenya name for a hill and the city built on it, near the shores of the Bay of Faery. Ilkorins is an anglicized term. These Elfes are called Ilkorindi in grammaticaly correct Quenya. Later, in the late 1920's, Ilkorin became the name given to only some of the Elves who did not reach Kôr, those who lived in Beleriand ruled by the King Thingol: (contracted; show full)* Quenya * Middle-earth ca:Ilkorin eo:Ilkorin sl:Ilkorščina All content in the above text box is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license Version 4 and was originally sourced from https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=prev&oldid=405741799.
