In 2003 Ms. Stark started a campaign to save a woman in Nigeria that was sentenced to death by stoning for having a child out of wedlock after being raped. Stark started a petition through emails that was deleivered to the Foreign Affairs in Ottawa. Hundreds of signatures were obtained to change the womens plight. In the end the womans life was spared.

Sparked by the devastation of the [[2004 Tsunami]], Stark founded the "Teddy Bears of Hope campaign", which sends new and used teddy bears to children in areas of to children affected by war and turmoil.<ref name=myk>{{Cite news
