On 1st March 2011, Shakinouts returned with their first new material in 18 months 'I Stand Alone' as a free internet download, with the promise of more new tracks over the coming months.

They have since announced the release of the first single proper, Quiet Life. Recorded by renowned producer Simon Humphrey and mastered by Barry Grint. The single is backed with the track Get Up and due for release on Monday 25th April 2011.
