'''Slender Man''' (also referred to as "The Operator") is a mythical creature first named on the Something Awful forums for a miscallaneous contest, and created by user "Victor Surge".<ref>{{cite web|first=Victor Surge|title=Create Paranormal Images|url=http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3150591&userid=0&perpage=40&pagenumber=3#post361861415|publisher=Something Awful Forums}}</ref> The creature has rocketed in popularity across the web, and even spawned numerous web series like Tribe Twelve, Everyman Hybrid, and the most popular, Marble Hornets. These Channels document their endeavors with the paranormal being as well as others. However evidence to his existence is poor at best.

==Physical Properties==
Slender Man is described as a tall, thin entity bearing a striking resemblance to a human male. He is occasionally shown in art or photographs with long, tentacle-like appendages protruding from his back. Slender Man is completely pale, possesses no face features whatsoever, and wears a black formal suit. It remains a mystery how he goes mostly unnoticed in public areas despite these distinguishing marks.

==Origins and Motives==
Many people could claim to have seen Slender Man in old photographs as a tall man in formal dress, but far enough from the camera that his features are indistinguishable, or giving the apparent lack of any distinguishing features. Aside from these photographs, Slender Man's origins are almost completely unknown. A select few ancient civilizations have depicted tall, slender beings with tentacle-like appendages in hieroglyphics.
''The subject is very calm, and never seems to be agitated by my advances... ''

The standard story of an encounter is that the person who saw him claims that he stalked them after the first sight of him. (This has led to the popular belief that the act of noticing him makes you his target) The sightings of him will gradually get closer, for example, viewing him from one end of a soccer field, to him being merely 5 feet from your front door. In many cases this has caused the victim become exceedingly paranoid.
Eventually, the victim vanishes with little to no-trace of his whereabouts.

Many reports say that his normal targets, the ones being unprovoked, are small children and that he can be seen in many photographs of events where a large number of them are known to be.

It is important to note that simply viewing him in a photograph does not provoke him.
 Also, it is recorded that Slender Man stalks young children. (He only stalks adults that he has stalked as children).
    If you spot him, it eventually makes you his target. He gets closer and closer, until his victims vanish without a trace.
    May have met The Rake ( Another "monster" from Marble Hornets. Only has been seen on written paper in the background, has never been seen).
    Catches his "prey" by entangling them in his stretching tenticles...( Has eight tenticles )
    He can erase victims memories ( based from marble hornets ).
==Notes==
