Quiet Life, March 2011⏎ ⏎ ===''From the Cockpit to Party in the Park''(2009-.......)=== Shakinouts headlined a series of big gigs most noticeably at the cockpit in June where they had a packed out room singing their up and coming single "Are You Happy". Due to their great success in Leeds, the Yorkshire Evening post coupled with [[Radio Aire]] invited them to share the bill at [[Party in the Park]] at [[Temple Newsam]] with artists such as [[Dizzee Rascal]], [[Calvin Harris]], [[N-Dubz]] and [[the Noisettes]]. In December 2009 Shakinouts supported Shed Seven on their latest academy tour. ===''Line up changes'' === Up until April 2011, Shakinouts were known as a '' 4 piece indie band from Leeds' and consisted of Matt Wilson, Jamie Williamson, Ben Hope and Alex Brook. However, it was in April 2011 when bass player Ben Hope left the band to go to Australia, he was immediately replaced by the solo artist Rupert Stroud. This only lasted for 2 gigs and Rupert left the band to pursue his ambitious solo career. It was then Shakinouts replaced Rupert's absence with Daimo Moore and aspiring keys player Sam Potter. Following a video shoot and single release of 'Quiet life', it was Alex's turn to leave the band due to ''musical differences.'' Following this shake-up Shakinouts were left with only 2 original band members (Matt & Jamie). It was then they recruited keys new drummer Rich Meyers (Rich was involved in no shakinouts recordings). ⏎ ⏎ Shakinouts have spent 2010 writing and recording songs in preparation to show that they deserved the reputation that they have achieved. On 1 March 2011, Shakinouts returned with their first new material in 18 months 'I Stand Alone' as a free internet download, with the promise of more new tracks over the coming months. They have sinceUnder Matt, Jamie, Sam, Daimo and Alex, Shakinouts announced the release of the first single proper, Quiet Life. Recorded by upcoming recording engineer James Simpson and mixed by renowned producer Simon Humphrey and mastered by Barry Grint.
