Soon after the demise of the Morning Crew, Dean was offered and accepted a position as program director with Austereo stations KOFM and NXFM near his hometown in [[Newcastle, New South Wales|Newcastle]]. Dean has started 2006 with great prospects, luring his friend and confidante Kerryn Atkinson from B105 to NXFM to host mornings and do music.
