His terrorist parents were incarcerated when he was fourteen months old, leaving him to be raised by Weather Underground members [[Bernardine Dohrn]] and [[Bill Ayers]] (who had then emerged from hiding). Dohrn and Ayers later [[adoption|adopted]] Boudin, but he retained a relationship with his birth mother and father.
