'''Robert Edward Forchion''' (born  July 23, 1964), and also known as '''NJWEEDMAN''', is an African-American [[Cannabis (drug)|cannabis]] activist and a [[perennial candidate]] for various [[New Jersey]] elected offices. In first trial May 9, 2012 jury found Forchion guilty of simple possession, but hung on the more serious possession with intent to distribute. In second trial to the shock of most he was acquitted of the possession with intent to distribute, on Oct 18th, 2012 by a 12-0 jury verdict, in Burlington County Superior Court.

Forchion was diagnosed with "bone cancer" in 2001 while at Riverfront State Prison (on 2000 marijuana conviction). He suffers from painful giant cell tumors, benign cancerous lesions. He applied for and became a registered medical marijuana patient in the State of California, in 2006. He stated his use was for chronic pain, and the retardation of tumor growths.
