It was created by [[Arkady D. Zakrevskij]] of the [[Belarus|BSSR]] Academy of Sciences. LYaPAS stands for  "Logical Language for the Representation of Synthesis Algorithms" and it was implemented on the "[[URAL-1]]" computer.
